The second year player out of San Diego State is poised for a huge breakout season. He has already earned the respect and trust of coach Pop. Kawhi started 39 regular season games along with all 14 playoff games last year. Pop has also stated that he expects Kawhi to be a future star in this league and that they would like him to be a Spur for life. There is no doubt that the Spurs will attempt to give Kawhi an increased role offensively this coming season. Defensively he is outstanding, earning comparisons to Bruce Bowen. Leonard only played in two summer league games and averaged 25 points, 6 rebounds, and three assists.
- Hopefully the fanfare remains relatively low leading up to most drafts. I could see Kawhi becoming very popular in fantasy circles, however if you find yourself in the late rounds with Kawhi still on the board, go ahead and feel confident in that selection.
